Blancpain has always held a standard of excellence which watchmakers look up to. Their richly decorated timepieces combined with their innovative dials and faces have left the luxury watch community in awe on numerous occasions.

And now Blancpain is revealing a new timepiece for women that will leave you breathless. They are describing the piece as a Blancpain classic with a contemporary update. This new watch is being called the Chronograph Grande Date, and has several features which are sure to make you swoon.

At first glance, you can clearly see that the Chronograph Grande Date is a beautiful timepiece. The mother-of-pearl dial is surrounded by a minute track which in turn is surrounded by 40 diamonds. These diamonds are set into an 18-carat red gold case which measures 38.6 millimeters in diameter. The dial itself is separated into two sections by diamond encrusted waves. These waves are made up of 17 diamonds in various sizes. This elegant timepiece is finished off with a white ostrich leather strap.

But this watch doesn’t just have looks. True to Blancpain standards, this piece has beauty and smarts. In addition to the precious gems covering the Chronograph Grande Date, there are also several timekeeping mechanisms displayed across the dial. The first is the aforementioned minute track, which is the largest hand on the dial. On the upper portion of the dial there sits a mother-of-pearl subdial which displays the time in Roman numerals. This subdial balances the Arabic numerals of the off centered chronograph counters. Finally, at the base of the main dial rests the double-disc large date display. All of these dials are controlled by Blancpain Calibre 26F8G, a self-winding mechanism comprised of 495 parts. The complex inner workings of this beautiful timepiece are displayed through a transparent caseback made of sapphire crystal which is partially covered with a floral motif.

This lavish timepiece is also available in white gold and steel. For more information, visit www.blancpain.com.
