Graff Diamonds has always been a company devoted to crafting some of the largest and rarest diamonds on the planet. In past years they have created the Gemini Yellows, a pair of earrings which included two 50 carat fancy intense yellow diamonds. They are also the creators of the Flame, a D Flawless pear shape diamond that measures in at exactly 100 carats. These and numerous other pieces of exquisite jewelry have been produced by Graff Diamonds.
And this past Friday, Graff Diamonds revealed their newest piece at The European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF). The new piece was a truly unique brooch in the form of a peacock. In mythical stories, the peacock is a symbol of nobility and and beauty. This peacock brooch is a stunning homage to beautiful and strong women.
The main body of the peacock is created using a 20.02 carat fancy deep blue pear shape diamond. This large gem is one of the rarest blue diamonds in the world. It also features a second clasp, allowing it to be removed and worn on its own. This gem
Diamonds in a variety of colors fan out from behind the main body of the peacock in a dazzling display. There are an assortment of yellow, orange, pink, and white diamonds delicately arranged to form the tail feathers of the peacock.
In total there are 120.81 carats of diamonds covering this brooch, and it measures just over 10 centimeters. This diamond encrusted piece is priced at $100 million and can be viewed at this year’s TEFAF.
TEFAF is currently being held in Maastricht, The Netherlands. It will run from March 15th through March 24th.
